The upgrade at the Shellharbour Club sees an innovative contemporary upgrade applied to the southern façade of the Club, entry, VIP gaming area, amenities, smokers’ terrace and the snooker room. The Club is located in the Illawarra region, a major steel manufacturing zone, which has informed much of the materiality and design aesthetics. Corten steel and raw concrete feature throughout the design with highlights of patterned glass throughout. Further, materials such as Colorbond sheeting, glass brick, and burnished metal finishes tie the design narrative together.
