The Junction Moama

Set at the junction of the Campaspe and Murray rivers, Altis derived design inspiration for this award winning project from the stimulating historical context and aimed to maintain the site as a place for travellers and locals alike. The venue was designed as one that gathers the best local food, wines, and local craft beers. Our client, Moama Bowling Club was looking to add a new dimension to their existing club portfolio. Our design brief was to create a venue that was inspirational, and provided a great hospitality experience throughout, and something that would attract people from both the local area of Echuca Moama and beyond. The brief included a cocktail lounge, cellar room and wine bar, an inviting restaurant overlooking lush gardens and water ponds. Our design centred on the idea of a pavilion which sits within a landscaped garden, using materials and finishes that reflect the region. The result is a highly successful venue, which has received awards and retained full engagement of the local community through the build and its ongoing operation.
