A new centre for the Dee Why community. It’s a place where locals can see friends over beers, food and sport in a place that’s technologically sophisticated, but feels like a comfortable high-end pub. The draws deeply on the sites exciting history as a battery house used for Sydney trams.& Dee Why RSL are highly ambitious visionaries who are extending the boundaries in their industry, providing members and community a venue that anticipates the future of hospitality design.

Our brief was to create a sports bar that was not only modern but distinctive. The sports bar caters to viewing of any sports event around the world in both communal and intimate spaces, a space that would not alienate female members, and a venue that that could provide informal function spaces. The fully automated roof structure transforms an indoor area into an open-air beer garden in seconds.
