Liverpool Catholic Club - Stage 3

Liverpool , Sydney

This impressive upgrade features the newly designed Rosemary & Thyme café, a refreshed lobby and sign-in area, a stylish main lounge and bar, and an enhanced auditorium entry. The design strikes a seamless balance between modern aesthetics and practical function, resulting in inviting, versatile spaces for members and guests alike.

A key drivers of the renovation was to improve spatial flow and connectivity, introduce natural light, and elevate the overall design to reflect a more modern, sophisticated hospitality experience throughout the Club. The café has been strategically relocated to the front of house, serving as a vibrant activation point. What was once an underutilised alfresco area has become a much-loved space, now fitted with climate control solutions, heating, cooling, and screening to ensure year-round comfort.

The formerly dark and corporate-style foyer has been completely reimagined into a hotel-inspired hospitality space. Skylights have been introduced above the bar and lounge area, bringing in an abundance of natural light. A striking central sculpture now anchors the area, while vertical design elements draw the eye upward, visually connecting to the expansive skylight above.

Throughout the project, a cohesive mid-century modern aesthetic has been applied. A consistent palette of materials has been used across each area, thoughtfully adapted to suit individual spaces while enhancing continuity and flow. In the café, a bohemian botanical flair ties in with the rejuvenated alfresco zone. Custom carpet featuring Australian native flora motifs adds a unique, local touch across the Club. The result is a vibrant, welcoming environment that has already proven to be a resounding success, both functionally and commercially.
