Work is underway on the Cessnock Leagues Club upgrade, nearly doubling seating capacity from 700 to 1,400. The expansion includes over 1,700m² of outdoor space with gardens, alfresco dining, a courtyard, and a stage for live entertainment. A new 150-seat restaurant and an expanded bistro and café will offer seating for up to 240, along with wood-fired pizzas and a gelato bar. Upgrades also include a larger lounge and sports bar, a new children’s playground, and 58 additional parking spaces. “This is the start of one of the city’s major developments on record, that will cater for the entertainment and employment sector for many years ahead,” Club president Bruce Wilson OAM said
