In the mid 1800’s, a man named James Maiden created a meeting place for travellers and locals alike at the junction of the Campaspe and Murray rivers. Aptly he named it the Junction Inn. This history is the inspiration for the Junction Moama. Designed as a venue that gathers the best local food, wines, and refreshing craft beers, the Junction is a place where the rustic charm of colonial days meets the comfort of contemporary culture.
Our client, Moama Bowling Club was looking to add a new dimension to their existing club portfolio. Our design brief was to create a venue that was inspirational, and provided a great hospitality experience throughout, and something that would attract people from both the local area of Echuca Moama and beyond.
With a focus on creating intimate pockets, – a cocktail lounge, cellar room and wine bar, an inviting restaurant overlooking lush gardens and water ponds – our design centred around the idea of a pavilion which sits within and landscaped garden, using materials and finishes that reflect the region.
